Saladmaster is more than just a product line, it is a life style. Another way Saladmaster changes lives is by promoting family time at homes. Since Saladmaster saves our customers so much time in the kitchen, they now have the time to actually sit down with their family and eat together which is beneficial in many ways.
Today families spend less quality time together than in the past. This is due to several factors, which include increased working hours for parents and over scheduled children in extra curricular activities. Add to this cooking equipment that is slow and hard to clean and you wonder how is there even time to sleep!
The benefits of eating together are many. A study by the University of Michigan found “a strong link between regular family meals and a number of positive outcomes: academic success, psychological adjustment, lower rate of drug and alcohol use, and risk of suicide.” Another study, of children ages 3-12, found that “time spent eating at home was a better predictor of academic success and emotional adjustment than any of the following activities: school, homework, athletics, arts and religious participation.” Rod Morris, an Elementary School Principal in Texas says “an evening meal eaten with no outside interruptions and marked by significant, thoughtful conversation among all family members is nearly irreplaceable and indispensable to raising emotionally healthy children.”
Eating together is also a great time for teaching your kids manners at the table, eating healthier (specially with Saladmaster cookware) and it is far less expensive than eating out. As Saladmaster Dealers, you have the ability to influence families on connecting again by sitting down (no TV) to eat and catch up.
