Bread Stuffing with Cranberries and Pistachios

Ingredients:

Spray oil OR canola oil (optional)
4 slices Whole wheat bread 4 slices
2 tbsp. Sage, fresh 30 mL
1 tsp. Chicken powder seasoning
¾ cup Onion, finely diced
½ cup Celery, finely chopped
1 tsp. Garlic, minced
2 whole Eggs well beaten
2 tbsp. Cranberries, fresh/frozen whole or dried
¼ cup Pistachio nuts



Directions:

1. Dice bread and place in glass mixing bowl. Add sage, chicken powder and toss together.
2. In a Saladmaster skillet, add spray oil or canola and sauté onions, celery and fresh garlic until the mixture becomes transparent.
3. Add this mixture, the pistachio nuts and cranberries to the bowl of seasoned diced bread. Add beaten eggs and mix well.
4. The stuffing is ready to use.
